The search engine giant Google , which makes an estimated profit of $430 billion annually introduced it's new logo today. The changes made are very subtle- The logo is changed from 3D to 2D. Google adds concert listings to music search results

By  Daniel Sperling Google  has announced that it will now display concert listings when users search for their favourite bands.  As of yesterday (February 23), results pages for musical acts show dates at nearby venues and links to sites offering tickets for sale.  Google product manager Kavi Goel said of the update in a  blog post : "To me, music is best heard live, so it's always exciting to find out that a band I love is coming to town.

Bloomberg: Google Inc. will allow a "do-not- track" button to be embedded in its Web browser, letting users restrict the amount of data that can be collected about them. The world's most popular search engine will join with other Web companies to support the anti-tracking initiative, which prevents an individual's browsing history from being used to tailor ads, according to an e-mailed statement today.

Taking serious note of the issue, the ED initiated probe into the matter and found that Google India has swindled Rs 12 crores in the last six years. As informed by one of the senior ED official, Google India has been transferring the income generated in India to its Ireland office without keeping Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the loop. Blogger , the web-log service run by Internet giant Google, will begin censoring the personal posts of its users in order to comply with local laws rather than encouraging an internationally open Internet. While the company has previously allowed users of the World Wide Web to post wide-open opinions on its Blogger site, it will now allow individual jurisdictions to govern what can and can't be posted on the Web. The amount of video uploaded to the site has multiplied tenfold in just four years. The site also has four billion video views per day. The equivalent of half the world's population watches a video on YouTube every day. The site was bought by Google for £1 billion after it was started by three people in a garage in 2005.
