Internet a Trillion Times Bigger Now

Vasudevan Mukunth The world may be a finite place but its growing population will never run out of internet addresses. On the occasion of World IPv6 Day on Wednesday, an initiative of the non-profit Internet Society, trillions of new free addresses on the internet have been released to accommodate the growing numbers of websites on the World Wide Web. The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) was responsible for administering the release.

Nokia Unveils Cheap Touchscreen Phones

Nokia has lost out badly to Apple Inc and Google Inc in the smartphone market and last quarter also lost its position as the world’s largest volume cellphone maker to Samsung Electronics. “Nokia urgently needed these products for emerging markets where rival Samsung has had full-touch, low cost devices like the Star since June 2009. Now Nokia needs to quickly make up lost ground with these new products,” Ben Wood, head of research at CCS Insight, said.

Temple Run Brave at $0.99

Temple Run Brave is just like the original Temple Run, which has been downloaded more than 80 million times, but with a few slight changes. It uses the heroine of the movie, Merida, instead of a generic adventurer, and the movie's giant bear Mordu as your attacker. Mordu is a great, evil-looking adversary, a Moby Dick-style force of nature with broken spears and arrows sticking out of his back. One look at him and you'll feel the urge to run, too.
