Samsung Galaxy Beam Review
Samsung’s new projector handset the Galaxy Beam is up for pre-orders from 3rd July. The phone is expected to hit the stores after 2 months. The price in India is fixed at Rs.29990/-
“The Galaxy Beam provides mobile freedom, enabling a unique shared experience around digital content for everyone – anywhere and instantly – from a smartphone as slim and portable as any in the market,” said Ranjit Yaday of Samsung.
Design-wise, the Beam has a pretty unique look with a slightly curved back made from a soft, yet ruggedized material. There’s a bright yellow band that wraps around the edges of the phone, which contrasts nicely with the black body. It feels light to hold, which is a definite plus but, the Beam does look really quite chunky.
Here are some basic specs of the phone

- 5MP with 2592 x 1944 pixels Auto focus camera along with flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection. 1.3MP secondary camera

At WMC 2012, the Galaxy Beam was announced to preload Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which was outdated with the arrival of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the recent Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich.
Verdict :
Overall, I don't think the phone will appeal to the masses because of the bulk and plasticky feel. For those who are looking for some fun and entertainment, go for it as it's a great price for a good projector phone.
Samsung Galaxy Beam is a combination of Galaxy S Advance and a pico projector. It has 4 inch screen display with 5 mega pixel rear and 1.3 mega pixel front camera and 2.3 android system. Its a superb smartphone with projector.
