Samsung Ativ Q is a crazy high-res dual-OS tablet

Image
I've always been impressed by computers that embrace multi-functionality, like Asus Transformer Book Trio (which runs Windows 8 and Android on separate chipsets) and the Acer R7 (which has a unique 'ezel' hinge allowing it to be used at many different angles and modes). Samsung's Ativ Q , announced last week, may be the most impressive realisation of that concept in a long time, boasting the flexibility of the R7 combined with the dual OS setup of the Transformer Book Trio. So, where to begin? The Samsung Ativ Q is a dual-booting device that runs Windows 8 and a virtualised instance of Android 4.2.2 (which can be swapped to with a button). The device's hinge allows it to act as a traditional tablet or laptop, as well as floating above the keyboard or rotating all the way back to serve as a vertical stand. This flexibility is backed with some seriously impressive hardware. The highlight is the 13.3" display, which hits a mouthwatering 3200 x 1...

Visitprofit.com - Scam or Legit?

Image
Is Visitprofit.com scam or legit? If you've landed on this page, you probably must have gotten a link from your friend or family on social networks like facebook , claiming that you can earn money online easily just by getting your link clicked by others. The link would have been something like- http://visitprofit.com/?ref=xxxx . The thing is the person who sent you the link wants you to register on the site so that he can "earn" a commission of $1 for each member he gets registered via his link bearing the referral id xxxx . I myself was very annoyed when my facebook newsfeed was filled with such links. So I decided to do a bit of investigation and conclude once and for all whether visitprofit.com is a legit way to make money online or just a scam. Firstly, the site is very new. It was started by late May 2013, yet the site says it's a large scale company started in 2010. Below is the entire information of the site from whois.net . Registrati...

IT support is an essential part of your business systems. Why?

Image
In the modern working environment, IT hardware is easily the most significant tool at your disposal in terms of how your business operates. The rate at which a business operates in the current climate is all down to the latest IT technologies, so whoever has the most advanced systems will inevitably bring home the bacon. With the introduction of high-speed software , the demand for a more competitive market has changed the way business is conducted forever –such are the benefits that the web brings to the table. There is so much great quality IT hardware on the market that it can often be hard to know which is right for your business, and as a result it’s often worth getting an expert opinion to have a look through your options and work out which might work best for your business. You should always search around before committing to an IT software , because you could end up with a product that has no benefit to you whatsoever. What is IT hardware? IT hardware are the physica...

Asus Transformer Book Trio runs Windows 8 + Android, has two Intel CPUs

Image
Asus   always come up with the coolest multi-functional products. The best example is probably the PadFone - the phone that fits inside a tablet that comes with a stylus that's also a  Bluetooth headset  - but their latest big reveal is pretty incredible as well. It's called the Asus Transformer Book Trio , and as the name suggests it has three rather different operating modes. So to start off, we've got what looks to be a normal laptop computer, running Windows 8 on a new Intel Core i7 Haswell processor . There's a nice full HD 11.6-inch display with 10 finger touch support. And that's pretty cool by itself, but it gets  way  cooler. Flip a switch, and the Trio will swap to running Android instead, running off an entirely separate Intel Atom processor . Storage between the two modes is shared too, so you can edit a document on Windows then send it off on Android. So that's pretty cool, but it's not the only way that the Trio is crazy-awesome....

Weird iPhone 4 / 4S cases

Image
One of the best things about owning an iPhone is that there are so many ways to accessorize it , with thousands of cases and other accessories on the market for each model, and hundreds of new cases being made each month. In this article, we'll show off some of the most weird and wonderful cases for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 available right now. 5. iPhone 4 Back Cover with Dual SIM Mobile Phone The iPhone is a great phone, but it's limited to just one sim card. This case inelegantly solves this problem by strapping a second dual SIM phone to the back of your iPhone. As well as serving as a kind of Nokia-style protection , the second phone allows you to carry on three phone conversations at once and even kind of works like some weird form of wireless storage, with a micro SD card slot and a Bluetooth connection. Sadly, while hilarious it's also prohibitively expensive. 4. Pinlo Slice 3 Lumino Glow-in-the-dark Case for iPhone 4 Here's a one trick pony f...

Xbox One vs PlayStation 4 Comparison

Image
We've heard a lot about the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 over the past week as the Xbox One was finally officially announced, but it's mostly been over topics like hardware, software, smartphone second glass capabilities, and most importantly hot button issues like privacy, used games, backwards compatibility, Thus far, 14 titles have been announced for the Xbox One and 34 titles for the PlayStation 4 (which has been officially announced for a longer period of time). Of these titles, only three are exclusives for the Xbox One - Forza Motorsport 5 , Quantum Break and Ryse . Forza Motorsport 5 will be the follow-up to the excellent Forza 4 driving game, which was one of the best available on the Xbox 360, and the less lauded Forza Horizons. Quantum Break is an intriguing game that will mix live actions sequences with gameplay, but we don't know much about it otherwise. Ryse is another lesser known game that reportedly will be a Roman-based hack-and-slash devel...

Google I/O keynote coverage

Image
Google I/O last year was amazing - skydivers introduced Google Glass , we saw the reimagined 7" tablet that became the Nexus 7, and a new buttery-smooth version of Android was released. This year, things were a little more low-key, with few new hardware announcements and no new version of Android. Despite this, I'm as excited this year as I was last year. In this article, I'll be sharing three of the coolest things for Android users to come out of the keynote this year. Google Play Game Services Finally, Google's got game. Game Services is a new backend for developers, allowing them to integrate features like multiplayer and cooperative matchmaking, leaderboards, achievements and cloud saves into their games. A number of launch titles like World of Goo and Modern Combat 4 have already been released with the new features, and we should see the same ones adopted by more Android game makers in the near future. Google Play Music All Access Google's seco...
