iOS 6.x Jailbreak Released
After a breathless waiting period, the first untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.0 and 6.1 has been released. The jailbreak, called evasi0n and developed by evad3rs, has been released on evasi0n.com for all to download. The jailbreak is compatible with all iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and iPad Mini devices that are running iOS 6.0 or above. Installing the jailbreak is quite simple - just a matter of downloading the release for your computer's operating system (there are options for Linux, Mac OS X and Windows) and following the instructions. Probably the most important thing to remember to do is back up your device to iTunes / iCloud before you begin, just so that if anything goes wrong you'll be able to recover your data. Apparently disabling lock passcodes can also be a good idea.
