Sony Announces Xperia U and Xperia P Smartphones

Sony Mobile Communications, the mobile division of Sony Corporation has unleashed their latest smartphones from its Xperia NXT series, which includes the Xperia P and Xperia U, at the company’s press event which was held at MWC 2012, Barcelona. The new smartphones come with all new features along with a new user interface and a stylish design, that feels more unique as well as attractive. The Xperia NXT series are specially designed for better entertainment technology, which lets users to share content with other mobile devices, TV, laptops and tablets. The design features also includes a new transparent element, that actually glows in different colors when you receive a call or a text, etc.

Apple introduces 'The New iPad'

Offering a Retina display measuring in at 2048 x 1536 pixels, Apple claims that it is "redefining the category Apple created" with the original iPad. At 264 pixels per inch, the new display is considered Retina quality with indistinguishable pixels when held at the typical viewing distance of 15 inches.  Featuring an A5X system-on-chip with quad-core graphics, the Retina display offer 44% greater color saturation than its predecessor. All of Apple's stock apps have been optimized for the new ultra-high resolution display and existing apps from third-party developers will be automatically scaled up with text rendered for the new resolution. With additional work, developers can also optimize their entire apps for the new display. 

HTC Unveils One Series Smartphones

HTC, one of the leading smartphones manufacturer, has announced the company’s latest range of mobile phones, called the HTC One series, which includes – the HTC One X, One S and One V smartphones. The new smartphones are meant for a powerful performance along with HTC’s latest HTC Sense 4 user interface. Along with these, the compay also announces Dropbox storage space of up to 25GB.

Facebook ’s hundreds of millions of users could soon be faced with a lot more advertising – in their newsfeed, on their mobile devices and even when they log off. The company made only $3.7 b in revenue last year, the bulk of that from facebook advertising . Recently, the company announced a new suite of advertising products intended to insert more ads                 into Facebook’s traditionally clean interface and to take more advantage of mobile ads, where the company has struggled. The announcement was made at its first marketing conference, held at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan. For users, the announcement could mean many more ads on Facebook. For advertisers, the effort offers a chance to reach more users in more places. Apple is now worth more than Poland

IANS   London : Apple is now worth more than Poland as its stock market value hit over $500 billion for the first time on Thursday, Britain's  Daily Mail reported. Apple is now worth $506 billion - in contrast Poland, with a population of 38 million people, has a GDP figure of just $497 billion. The company, co-founded by Steve Jobs, is also worth more than Belgium, Sweden, Saudi Arabia and Taiwan. Apple's value only overtook Microsoft in May 2010 - but since then, their ascent has been rapid, the newspaper said.

Microsoft unveils Windows 8 for public test

Reuters   Seattle : Microsoft Corp unveils the first widely available test version of Windows 8 on Wednesday, giving the public the first chance to try out the slick, new-look operating system it hopes will restore the company's fading tech supremacy. Windows 8, as the first Microsoft operating system compatible with low-power microprocessors designed by ARM Holdings Plc, will run on tablets as well as desktops and laptops. "The operating system has begun to be seen as largely irrelevant," said Sid Parakh, an analyst at fund firm McAdams Wright Ragen, which holds Microsoft shares.
