Anonymous took down cia.gov

Traditionally known as F*ckFBIFriday, this weekend's eve turned into F*ckCIAFriday, as hacktivists downed the official website for the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States cia.gov. At approximately 3:10 p.m. Eastern time one of twitter accounts related to the hackers' group announced "cia.gov DOWN. #UMAD?#Anonymous."   The CIA website became the latest victim in a series of attacks conducted by the elusive group of hackers against US law enforcement agencies and copyright holders.

Flipkart buys smaller rival Letsbuy

Flipkart, India's biggest online retailer of books and electronics gadgets, has acquired smaller rival Letsbuy, seeking to consolidate its position ahead of Amazon.com Inc's planned entry into the Indian market. Flipkart did not disclose the value of the deal, but a person with direct knowledge of the matter said it was "somewhere in the range" of $20 million to $25 million.

Zuckerberg can't create a rival to his own Facebook

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg will get millions of dollars in salary, bonuses and stock options, but cannot work on creating a rival to the social networking giant. This has been disclosed in Facebook's amended registration document for its upcoming IPO, filed with the US market regulator Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) . According to Zuckerberg’s employment agreement with Facebook, his job can be terminated “at any time for any reason or no reason”, either by him or by the company. Besides, the company's employment agreement does not allow Zuckerberg to “assist any person or entity in competing with the company, in preparing to compete with the company or in hiring any employees or consultants of the company”. Similar clauses apply to Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, Chief Financial Officer David Ebersman and Vice-President (Engineering) Mike Schroepfer for the period they render their services to Facebook. Google India Private Limited to face ED for flouting FEMA

Coming down heavily on the India based unit of the American Internet giant ' Google Inc ', the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has served notice to Google India Private Limited for illegal mode of money transfer from the country. Taking serious note of the issue, the ED initiated probe into the matter and found that Google India has swindled Rs 12 crores in the last six years. As informed by one of the senior ED official, Google India has been transferring the income generated in India to its Ireland office without keeping Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the loop. Recently, Google India hogged the limelight when Delhi High Court sought removal of objectionable content from the search engine. As a matter of fact, the Google India generates crores through advertisements which it directly transfers to its associate body in foreign countries without paying the tax to the RBI. Kodak to exit digital camera business.

Rochester (New York): Eastman Kodak Co said Thursday that it will stop making digital cameras, pocket video cameras and digital picture frames, marking the end of an era for the company that brought photography to the masses more than a century ago. Since  Kodak  has filed for bankrupt  protection as of last month, the company has decided to stop producing some of its products for 2012.
