Vine Jealous of Instagram?

Image
The Vine vs. Instagram Competition In the last week of June of this year, the network of Instagram and Facebook had a debut video that is controversially new. After which they made a showdown with Vine and Twitter for these two products are mostly similar but have key differences that set them apart and at each other's throats. These two apps are different in the following ways. Source : techcrunch.com The length of Instagram's video clips is fifteen seconds while vine is six seconds. The longer limit of time is supposed to ration a good longer portion of time to shoot videos as opposed to Vine's six seconds. This is good but according to the press it really depends if the film is either interesting or boring because if it is boring it’s quite pointless to have fifteen seconds of a shot of film.  Shooting the film is quite the same for these two apps but there is also a difference. With Vine you can touch anywhere on the screen and it will shoot. Wi

Facebook offers free calls in the UK

Image
After launching free calls for North Americans earlier this year, Facebook is now finally allowing the British a chance to get in on the service. Or more specifically, British people that are using an iPhone , iPad or iPod Touch . Getting started is fairly simple - just download and open the Facebook Messenger app . Next, select the "i" button in conversation view and press "Free call". Like proper phone calls, you're able to use other applications while keeping the call going and leave voice messages. If you receive a call, you'll receive a push notification to let you know. With the service now available in the UK, Canada and the US, it's now possible to call internationally for free. This has long been possible with Skype, but many more people use Facebook and there's no need to find additional contact information. Voice quality is consistent with Skype and other VOIP providers like Viber. It's not known if Facebook plans to ope

Facebook friends judge you by your photos

More ads to boost Facebook's revenue

Facebook ’s hundreds of millions of users could soon be faced with a lot more advertising – in their newsfeed, on their mobile devices and even when they log off. The company made only $3.7 b in revenue last year, the bulk of that from facebook advertising . Recently, the company announced a new suite of advertising products intended to insert more ads                 into Facebook’s traditionally clean interface and to take more advantage of mobile ads, where the company has struggled. The announcement was made at its first marketing conference, held at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan. For users, the announcement could mean many more ads on Facebook. For advertisers, the effort offers a chance to reach more users in more places. Despite aggressively courting Madison Avenue for the past few years, Facebook has been an anomaly in the world of digital advertising.
